Shot, edited and co-wrote Son Lux’s “Flickers” for director Petr Vlček, and won Best Cinematography, Newcomer at the UK Music Video Awards 2025. One of two Czech names on this issue’s list.

Mikuláš Hrdlička is the cinematographer of Son Lux’s “Flickers”, directed by Petr Vlček and released in June 2025 on This Is Meru. Directors’ Library lists him as DP, editor and co-writer with Deborah Menšlová (who also did set design) and Vlček, with colour by Mikuláš Tyller and actor Jiří Petržilka on screen. It was shot in the Czech Republic.

The video won Best Cinematography, Newcomer at the UK Music Video Awards 2025. Hrdlička’s reel is on Vimeo.
